Alice Crisponi in the presentation of the exhibition writes: "The last pictorial cycle of the artist reveals a different ending. His Little stories (2018/2022) recount an unfortunate destiny for contemporary man, unable to return to his origins and now anesthetized by a hyper-stimulating contemporary society, which makes him so bestial that he is no longer able to find harmony with the natural world. The figure becomes disturbing: half-animal half-human, Molle’s man is a Kafkaesque hybrid, frighteningly familiar. These mythological beasts no longer fear the horror vacui of the Deconstructions; they prefer, rather, to fill it with futility, objects and devices of our times able to overcome that dangerous and empty silence".

And Romina Guidelli, for a long time a sensitive observer of the work of this artist, on the occasion of a previous exhibition observed that "In front of Mauro Molle’s paintings, after the initial enthusiasm provoked by the brilliant chromaticism, the reading is immediate, but it is necessary to cross the smooth skin of the painting to discover the meaning of the small stories that the artist paints in a wealth of detail. On each canvas the absolutely flat brushstrokes vanish from the surface as absorbed by the subjects/objects portrayed, abstract from life, from the world of advertising, of usuality, of the costume; sparkling children and transient desires generated by the minds and instruments of modernity".

The exhibition will be open, with free admission, until October 22nd. The toast of the opening evening will be kindly offered by the Casale del Giglio winery.
