Hay Hill Gallery presents ‘Into The Wild’ a new solo exhibition by Maurizio Camatta. The show has a protagonist the power of air.
About
Maurizio Camatta in his new works paints the air, the wind with its turbulence that stirs the air, the breath that nurtures and shakes everyday living
The air corporeality as a metaphor of the human soul are inspired by these recent works by Maurizio Camatta, in continuity with the pattern of cosmic creation and the four primary elements that characterises the artist's entire production.
Through floating and transparent colours, so light as to be taken in with just a look, Camatta highlights the contrast between the ethereal aspect of the depiction of the sky and the expressive power of the painting, which is fixed on the canvas through insistent and layered strokes.
Shaping the material with rational and informal gestures, the artist explores the emotional power of colour in these landscapes. By entering into the soul of the things, it describes the sensory implications accompanying the observer in a suggestive inevitable reaction.
The image becomes the unconscious language through which to communicate their feelings. With the colours, Maurizio Camatta expresses all the force of the air, the wind and the breath of life that wants to wipe out the deepest troubles of the human soul.
