Matter in Hand, Exhibition 1: Point of Touch

In a world where everything is immediate and digitized, pre-packaged and readymade, the return to a more tactile way of working is increasingly more relevant. ‘Point of Touch' explores notions of making and process in contemporary art practice through the work of Henrik Potter, Georgia Rodger and Lisa Stockham. All three artists wield their processes with a subtly and finesse that is imbued onto the final objects, and come together in a collection of work that celebrates technique and material and the point at which those two things meet and develop. If art is first and foremost the act of engaging with materials, this engagement must always start with one thing: a Point of Touch.
