An exhibition of contemporary sculpture and installation by Fiona Campbell, Matthew Dibble, Kelly M O’Brien, Kate McDonnell and Nicola Turner. Held in the unique space of Walcot Chapel, the work is a celebration of materials.
About
'To follow the material means to enter a true maze of meanings' (P. Lange-Berndt, 2015)
Each artist holds the stuff they work with at the heart of their critically-engaged practice. Leaning on the political, environmental, ideological and social meanings of materials, the exhibition showcases large-scale objects and environments in the architectural space of the ex-mortuary chapel.
Curator and artist Kate McDonnell says: 'It’s rare to find opportunities to show large scale contemporary sculpture and even rarer to be able to create installation art. I really wanted to celebrate the talents of these emerging artists in an amazing space.'
Private View: Wed 25th March, 6-8pm
