'Masses, Media, Message' - Video installation works about new Iran Artworks by Namdar, Curated by Leila Sajjadi

About

Masses, Media, Message' Video installation works about new Iran Artworks by Namdar Shirazian Curated by Leila Sajjadi Iran is changing and with it changes the way we receive news. Iran is now considered to be the first country in the world where modern personal technology is helping its people export news to the rest of the world from a country where news is heavily monitored and censored by the government. Some of the most gripping images and most watched video recordings and updates on the turmoil in Iran is captured and distributed by non-professional Iranians. According to many, they are indirectly making what will be regarded as the first news reportage revolution.. In this exhibition, we explore how modern technology is shaping us, the information we receive and how it shall shape our future. The exhibition consists of video installations along with soundtrack and series of images that has shaped what we've heard from Iran in the past 6 months. There will be a talk with the artists and the curator on the night of this event. FREE ENTRY!
