“Screens," is formed of paintings executed in watercolour and gouache on paper. Siebert paints while engrossed in various forms of visual content, spanning from mobile phones and televisions to iPads and beyond.
About
Exhibition open 12 - 6PM on 22/06, 23/06 + 29/06, 30/06 or by appointment.
Siebert captures fleeting moments of life and media, ranging from scenes in popular TV series like Seinfeld to imagery from the latest Dune movie or the news hour on Al Jazeera. His art not only reflects the rapid pace of modern consumption but also delves into glimpses of everyday life, societal issues, and global events.
During the private view, the artist will perform a sound piece using the same source material as the paintings on display. The sound piece will be performed using synthesisers and samplers with a recording of the piece will be on display during opening hours.
Siebert's work has graced many and varied venues globally, including the Walker Arts Centre in Liverpool, Kingsgate Project Space in London, Intercession Gallery in Northampton, and Project 78 in St Leonards, the Video Platform during the Singapore Art Fair, as well as solo shows at Passen-gers and ASC Bond House Gallery in London, Greenaway Art Gallery in Adelaide, and the Experimental Art Foundation in Australia.
