Mark Out II: The Politics of Landscape and Place

Mark Out II is a location-specific project with artists Onya McCausland, Patrick Adam Jones and Simon Barker working to develop a collaborative dialogue with the common thread of drawing linking their practices. Their aim is to respond to the physical, social and political landscape of Cheltenham, working with material collected through processes of engagement with the place, individuals and local institutions. The collaboration intends to allow free flow of information to filter between areas, to cross-fertilise, collide and question one another. The concurrent dialogue between the visual artists aims to expose different layers of knowledge of the ‘landscape' driven by different working methodologies.
