Working together, French artist Marie Cool and Italian Fabio Balducci present a series of simple, non-spectacular actions, in which Marie Cool is the sole performer. She makes small gestures that are sometimes energetic, often slow and always precise and controlled. Her accessories are simple: chair, table, sheet of paper, fan, powder, breadcrumbs, thread, and so on. Although minimalist in their construction, these performances, in which time is suspended, express the fragility of things and the transient nature of existence. Marie Cool will be performing in the gallery Wednesday - Saturday between 11.30am and 5pm. Visitors can drop in at any time to view the live performance or a screening of previous work.
