As we reopen our doors at our Lucius Street gallery, we look forward to welcoming you to an evening launch event for our March Exhibitions, a chance to join us for a glass of wine and meet the artists taking part.

March sees us exploring a coastal theme as we welcome painter Amanda Lyon-Smith with her exhibition, ‘Reflecting on the Coast’ and ceramicist David Jones with, ‘Sea and Oceans’

Amanda only started painting seriously during lockdown but has rapidly developed her own style. Working in Mixed Media she moves easily from serene coastal inspired seascapes to punchy, unique and bold abstracts, all of which will be reflected in her show with us.

Coming from Stoke-on-Trent, David was introduced to ceramics from a very young age, undertaking training with Josiah Wedgewood at the age of 16. There followed an extensive career in design, model making and creative development, working with many world-renowned ceramics companies until a move to Devon in the late 90’s enabled him to set aside some time to explore and develop his own creative practice, based on his love of the coast and fishing.
