By creating drawings through repetitive actions associated with laws of attraction, this workshop Ceci Sargent and Lucas D’Praser Corp questions whether notions of the self can transfigure, via idealistic, perhaps delusionary drawing.
About
WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION
Experimenting with the sculptural potential of drawing, we will craft physical tokens of our manifestations to take home. Manifesting Greatness presents participants with a chance to imagine who they could be, and how to attract rather than chase.
BIO
Freshly graduated from Newcastle University, Ceci and Lucas draw opportunistic imaginings not too dissimilar from their own realities. Their work can often be synonymised with obsession, confession and yearning. Lucas has recently reflected on overlooked histories in everyday surroundings, by spending time embedding kitsch consumer detritus into utilitarian materials like concrete. Ceci’s drawings allow her to make anything she wants exist. She fervently scratches and rubs colour onto rice paper with crayons to craft designer, luxury bags.
