All photography show by WALPH Collective. This inaugural exhibition from the recently formed photography group sets out to explore the concept of space as a notion both private and public.
Making Space displays a variety of approaches to the subject matter, ranging from highly staged scenes to chance encounters, and featuring both digital and analogue modes of production, including such alternative processes as pinhole and wet plate collodion.
The show comprises of three sections: I, a Multitude, an image cluster dedicated to the private space in portraiture and self-portraiture, The Silent City, an exploration of public space, and The Great Inside, the landscape of creative imagination.
WALPH (We are London Photographers) formed in June 2015 to provide peer support to a group of independent artists who work with both digital or analogue forms of photography within the contemporary context.
