David Krut Projects shows new work by Vera Boele-Keimer. The exhibition is the third in a series of exhibitions of British artists organised in collaboration with Jessica Carlisle.
About
Boele-Keimer’s work follows a vein of contemporary practice that utilises lowly materials and found objects to play with ideas of permanence and temporality, fragility and stability, structure and disorder. Her methods encompass painting, drawing, printing, sewing, stitching, wrapping and folding; drawing out a kind of beauty or grace in the re-arranging or re-structuring of her materials. The fluency and eloquence of these interventions often creates works of startling simplicity and effectiveness; works which transcend their material origins to become something entirely new and other.
