Make & Create exhibition at the Riverside Gallery
Make & Create showcases affordable, attractive crafted items for the home, ranging from prints, quilts, embroidery, felt, rugs, glassware, ceramics, and mixed media works.
The exhibition brings together 26 artists and craftspeople from across the country who submitted work via open submission.
In addition, members of the EAL (English as an Additional Language) group who attend workshops at Orleans House Gallery have created decorative lampshades to complement the works.
Participating artists and makers include:
Jennifer Chaplin, Hanna ten Doornkaat, Wendy Hale, Sinéad Finnegan, Elise Menghini, Amanda Mercer, Rachel Pearcey, Barbara Jansma, Mary Funk-Butterworth, Jo Davies, Desa Philips, Tong Il (Tommy) Seo, Louise Brooks, Sarah Cowley, Anna Didik, Karen Cocksedge, Marian Medina-Cuesta, Gerti Hofmeister-Biddles, Charlotte Stockley, Derek Pearce, Albert Montserrat, Annie Jennings, Maria Murtagh, Pramila Muthiah, Sarah McLean and Maria Garcia-Pinilla.
The exhibition runs from 31 May - 19 July. All works are for sale and prices start at £19, with many exhibits at around the £30-£50 mark.
