About
Ollas (pronounced “oy-yahs”) are bottle shaped unglazed clay/terra-cotta pots that are buried in the ground with the top/neck exposed above the soil surface and filled with water for sub-surface irrigation of plants. Learn about this ancient irrigation method, thought to have been developed over 4000 years ago and still practiced today and make Ollas for your garden or house plants During the workshop you will be able to make your own Ollas that Mandy will fire and we will notify you when they are ready to collect from Exeter Phoenix.
The session will be led by ceramicist and Exeter Seed Bank co-founder Mandy Biscoe
