Excavations in 2006 on the site of the 18thcentury Bow Porcelain Works in Stratford High Street uncovered a massive quantity of unparalleled ceramic waste and kiln material that has significantly added to our understanding of the ceramic production in the region. MOLA (Museum of London Archaeology) is hosting unique expert-led workshops on the 6th of July and offering attendees the rare opportunity to go behind the scenes, view and handle the excavated porcelain and discover the wealth of decorative wares that were produced in this noteworthy factory. Two half-day workshops on the finds recovered from the site will include lectures with ceramic specialist, MOLA's Jacqui Pearce, handling sessions and tours of the world-class Ceramic and Glass Collection in the Museum of London's off-site stores.
