Described as ‘a jewel' by Gramophone Magazine, Machaca's first album, ‘Mano a mano' was released during La Linea 2007. La Linea 2010 is proud to host the launch of their much awaited release: ‘Los Ambulantes'. Led by Mexican guitarist Morgan Szymanski, Machaca consists of the UK's finest young classical musicians including ODuo (percussion), Gemma Rosefield (cello), Lizzie Ball (violin), Phuong Nguyen (accordion) and Al Mobbs (bass). They will be joined by guests including Galo Cerón (guitar + cuatro) and rising star Adam Walker (flute). Their programme will include works by Piazzolla, Villa-Lobos, Machado, Ponce, Lauro, Bellinati, Cardoso, Iannarelli, Brouwer plus world premieres for pieces from Stephen McNeff and James Pearson.
