‘Lucky 7 Over The Rainbow’ is a show of material art as an immaterial art work.
The installation, a combination of the curator Lucky Soni’s work and how it interacts with the ‘material’ of the other artists work is not for sale and will only exist during the ALW 18 festival.
Through the hospitality of providing tea and cake, visitors are encouraged to experience the domestic space as an art space and the art space as domestic space. Does the art make the domestic space less hospitable or the domestic space make the art more approachable?
There will be no hand outs, labels or descriptions. Visitors can engage in conversation to learn more about the work and ideas or if they prefer not to interact, they can take away their own interpretations, neither is right or wrong.
To see the show you have to come to the show, there will be no documenting images of the work via social media, artists will be posting test card images instead.
