As part of Physarum Borax - Opening at Platform Southwark we are hosting a series of free events, the first of which is a performance titled lowkey.
//// Low-key involves Eve Stainton, Michael Kitchin and Sara Sassanelli working to unpack judgement within a performance space through our dancing bodies. By acknowledging that our bodies hold different experiences, histories, needs, pleasures, structures and boundaries we are interested in engaging with the idea of ‘the untrained’ to propose a space of movement as a form of resistance. We will use music as a vehicle into moving, dancing and ultimately celebrating a realm of desire and autonomy.
For this performance we have invited Fernanda Munoz-Newsome to perform with us. Musical accompaniment: ERSATZ ////
Wants/needs for lowkey:
to use the space to dance
to use the space to explore togetherness and aloneness
to exist as moving people in a low key way.
to lower the stakes of what a future performance of this exploration might be/ look like
Maybe there is a little bit of impostor syndrome in this. ////
Free, spaces are limited. To reserve a place RSVP physarumborax@gmail.com
This event is supported by Arts Council England, Platform Southwark and Old Blue Last Beer.
