This Pop-Up exhibition is a celebration of the glories of metal and water with sea-inspired paintings on metal leaf in a variety of themed colours.
About
During the past year I have fallen in love with metal leaf, gilding the canvas with gold, silver, copper and even variegated leaf. Once sealed onto the canvas, the leaf provides a thrilling, glowing base for the paint as it glints between the brush marks. But the real glory is how the paint feels as it touches the leaf. The entrancing colours glide along as if painted on silk.
