Is love nowadays a market and romantic love a legend? Do you have to work hard (on ourselves) to be loved by others? What is love today in Berlin, Wedding?

Schmitt’s artistic work on »Love in Times of Capitalism« consists of three parts:
Part 1: »Comizi d`amore« – performative research in Wedding in August/ September 2019,
Part 2: »Everybody Needs Only You« – performance in collaboration with Bini Adamczak, at the Berlin HAU/Hebbel am Ufer (premiere: December 6, 2019) and
Part 3: »Love Meetings« – at Galerie Wedding in February and March 2020.
The film sequences made in summer with protagonists from Wedding, selected costumes and stage elements from the performance at HAU as well as documentation, and adaptations of conversations are now brought together in the third part of the current solo exhibition »Love Meetings or Love in Times of Capitalism« by Konstanze Schmitt.
