This summer, take a once in a lifetime opportunity to see world famous masterpieces by two giants of art history, right in the heart of Birmingham.
About
Curated by Turner Prize winning artist Jeremy Deller, Love is Enough brings together his two greatest artistic influences - William Morris and Andy Warhol.
Making surprising connections between this unlikely pairing, the spectacular exhibition explores the artists' common interests in mass production, popular culture and themes of love.
Highlights include Warhol’s celebrated portraits of Marilyn Monroe and Elizabeth Taylor, plus rare archival material including a signed photograph of Shirley Temple posted to a 13-year-old Andy in 1941.
The centrepiece of the exhibition is Birmingham’s rare and beautiful Holy Grail tapestries, produced by Morris & Co., and the only series in a UK public collection. Displayed together for the first time since 2008, don’t miss your chance to view these fragile and light sensitive works before they go into conservation for over a decade.
