Los Angeles Municipal Art Gallery presents Spoken/Write: Citizens of Change

Los Angeles Municipal Art Gallery (LAMAG), located at Barnsdall Park (4800 Hollywood Blvd), will present Spoken/Write: Citizens of Change as part of their LAMAGPlay series on Saturday, March 24, 2018 from 5-6:30 pm. This open-mic session will showcase aspiring performers and writers in a timely gathering of local voices addressing national issues of race and citizenship. Music and poetry will be inspired by the book, Citizen, An American Lyric, by Claudia Rankine. Featured performers are provided through partnership with Get Lit – Words Ignite. NEA Big Read is a program of the National Endowment for the Arts in partnership with Arts Midwest. www.lamag.org/programs
