GlogauAIR is excited to announce a partnership with the acclaimed LOOP Barcelona video art festival to present works from the finalists and award-winners of LOOP Discover. LOOP Discover is a platform for video artists to present their work throughout the LOOP network through their juried open call that has taken place annually since 2015. An international jury made up of acclaimed professionals in the contemporary art sector have singled out the 10 finalists, along with the prize-winner from the wide range of submissions they received to their open call.

Directly after the festival concludes in Barcelona, LOOP Discover is a Berlin audiences will have a chance to see the awarded and selected films and meet some of the filmmakers in person. All eleven films including the winner of the LOOP Discover Award and the audience award will be screened at GlogauAIR in Kreuzberg, Berlin over the course of four days from November 22--25 2018. 

Selected artists from the ten finalists and the two award winners of the highly regarded video art festival based in Barcelona will also be present to discuss their films in person at GlogauAIR. 

The LOOP Discover Award has been created with the aim to support and recognize the recent production of videos and films by international artists through a free open call to the artistic community. The theme of this edition is one of the biggest challenges we face as a species: how can we make the Earth a habitable place? How can we direct ourselves towards a sustainable future? We present works that inform, inspire, denounce, propose, raise awareness, engage, hold accountable, confront... In short, works that help us imagine and bring forth a more sustainable future.
