A photographic land art exhibition which focuses on the ‘eyes’ found in trees has gone on display
out among the trees in Sherwood Forest National Nature Reserve.

About

Visual artist Gary Dawes has created a series of art works entitled LOOKER – Watchers of the Forest, which aims to raise awareness to the threats faced by trees, woodlands and forests around the world - the first exhibition of its kind to be displayed on the Major Oak trail at the reserve. LOOKER is part of a land-art project – ‘Outsider’ - which Gary started in 2017, with the idea of exhibiting his photographs outdoors in a natural setting, and away from traditional indoor gallery spaces.
