The Look + Listen Festival is dedicated to sparking dialogue between music and visual art through its annual free programming of contemporary music by today’s musical trailblazers in galleries and cultural centers throughout New York City.

About

The 2020 Spring Festival performances (April 23, Pioneer Works; April 25, Revelation Gallery; May 2, The Invisible Dog Art Center) are tied together with three newly-commissioned iterations of an audio-visual Ambient Experience, Turntable Drawings, by composer Danny Clay and San Francisco-based visual artist Jon Fischer.

In Heard to be Seen, pianist Tristan McKay, New York-based dance company The Bang Group, and composer, vocalist, and multi-instrumentalist Paul Pinto meld the visual and the audible through a set featuring dance, movement, and sound-inspire prints, along with works by Tristan Perich, Dean Rosenthal, and Viola Yip.

Reservations for all events (highly recommended) open on March 23. Please visit lookandlisten.org to RSVP.
