London Craft Week returns to the capital for its fourth edition from 9-13 May 2018. Celebrating outstanding British and international creativity, this year the festival brings together over 200 established and emerging makers, designers, brands and galleries from around the world.

About

Authenticity is at the heart of London Craft Week and the programme aims to attract a broad audience united in their appreciation of imagination, individuality, passion and skill. A curated programme of events across London allows visitors to create their own itinerary, meet the makers and gain access to exclusive exhibitions, demonstrations and workshops.

London Craft Week reflects a global trend, with increasingly discerning visitors searching out objects of beauty and substance against a flowering of craftsmanship worldwide. It bridges iconic heritage and contemporary brands as well as independent makers and allows them to tell their stories. Each year, with the city as its backdrop, our week-long event shines a spotlight on artists and makers and celebrates a golden age of creative talent.

"London Craft Week is a response to a renaissance in the appreciation of creativity and craft; to the role of hand, head, unique skills and true talent. It is another example of what, at its best, the world’s creative capital does so well – mixing glamour with cutting edge; heritage and contemporary and the commercial with the cultural." Guy Salter, OBE MVO, Chairman of London Craft Week

"Whether your intention is to consume or simply converse, if you appreciate beauty and the value of craftsmanship, then London Craft Week is one of the month’s must-visit events."Charlotte Abrahams FT How To Spend It

“My only question is, why has nobody thought to organise a dedicated week to celebrate craft in London before? ...having proved itself world class when it comes to design, jewellery, fashion and art (which already have their own weeks) London’s inaugural Craft Week seems long overdue." Henrietta Thompson, The Telegraph Luxury

London Craft Week, as a small private not-for-profit organisation, could not have done this without a great deal of help. With dunhill and Purdey as it’s Headline Sponsors for 2018, it has established a festival which doesn’t rely on public funds. Indeed, the sponsors and programme partners generous support enables charities, museums, colleges and galleries, as well as independent makers, to play such a central role.
