Lois Weinberger, who sees himself as a field worker, embarked in the 1970s on ethno-poetic works that form the basis for his ongoing artistic investigations of natural and man-made spaces.

The list of hundreds of exhibitions and works in public space he has produced over his career also reflects his presence at major influential art events: the São Paolo Biennale (1991), the Venice Biennale (2009), Documenta X in Kassel (1997), Documenta 14 in Kassel and Athens (2017), and group and solo shows in many prestigious museums and art centres.
