We would like to invite you to visit Lodger, a reading lounge of the exotic, foreign and alien set within Westminster Reference Library.

About

The lounge features a selection of books, paintings, objects and plants that together seek to encourage an examination of otherness. Further artworks and texts wait to be discovered throughout the library.

Works featured range from Rodrigo Meneses’ transformation of the visual cues of emotion into graphic signs, to the journeys between exoticism and belonging in the paintings of Cara Nahaul and James Alfred Hart, and the revision of historic narratives in David Duvshani’s drawings and books.
