About
Lockdown & Me is a thought-provoking digital exhibition curated by Newcastle creative practitioner Sharon Race, following workshops with local young and older people
who produced art relating to their experiences, good and bad, of the Covid-19 Lockdown.
The art will be used to develop a specially created virtual interactive exhibition at www.lockdownandme.co.uk.
As well as a pop up exhibition at Newcastle City Library New Bridge St, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE1 8AX from: Thursday 5th May until Thursday 19th May 2022.
Both exhibitions will celebrate Mental Health Awareness Week: Monday 9th May to
Sunday 15th May 2022.
The digitised art will then be donated to the Tyne & Wear Archives preserving this unique time in our history.
The project has been funded by Arts Council England.
