Llull Machines is founded by artist Danil Gertman and musician Grundik Kasyansky. We create audio-visual artefacts with live digital drawings/projections on an iPad app Tagtool and live electronic music. These artefacts are neither “live animation”, nor “live drawings with the music accompaniment”, nor “visuals to accompany electronic music”. Our means of work are surprisingly similar; we both use all ten fingers. In the manner of its operation Tagtool resembles an electronic music instrument – part synthesizer, part sampler. Everything is created in real time, no templates or preparations are used, Grundik’s setups and approaches are as painterly or sculpturally as musical. Occasionally, we collaborate with video artists or other musicians. And so, new dimension arise. We explore. We evolve daily. We are alive.
