Athena Anastasiou’s debut solo show “Living Into Your Portrait”, unveiling her collection of new paintings, limited edition prints and screening her Art Bio Film during the opening night.
About
Athena Anastasiou is a post CSM artist, photographer and founder of London’s Pop
Up Art Collective Meet The Artists. MTA recently represented over 100 emerging artists from London and recently collaborated with Creative Debuts.
Her exciting debut solo show Living Into Your Portrait is about empowering people to see how big they already are by showing them a mirror through paint.
Inspired by family and close friend’s stories, Athena creates a series of their portraits using thick expressive paint strokes and bold imagery. Her intention is to re-create her sitters through her vision of how she sees them, so the sitter starts to see their true reflection through paint. Inviting them to live into that reality which is ironically who they are already.
