Each year Liverpool Film Night provides a fantastic opportunity to recognise and network with the latest film talent from across the region.

About

Featuring a panel of industry experts consisting of David A Hughes, award-winning composer and producer; Carl Loughlin, local actor and filmmaker; and Helen Walsh, author and director, we invite you to join us as we celebrate a programme of short films selected by our head judge filmmaker and senior lecturer at LJMU Demelza Kooij.

Each ticket includes a free glass of prosecco or soft drink on arrival, so come and take part in the night that gives local talent a place on the big screen. It’s after the credits have rolled that panel members will take part in a Q&A where they’ll discuss the films shown, and answer your questions on filmmaking and getting into the industry.

The shortlist for this year's Liverpool Film Night is:

- Train to Yulichka – Lars Koens

Hum – Stefano Nurra

Uncanny Field – Hu Ching-Chuan

Five Minutes – Dan Sloan

The Desolate One – Daniel Boocock

Storyline – Alzbeta Kovandova

Saturday – Mike Forshaw
