Artists Statement 
In an age where we are becoming more aware of the impact we have on our planet and environment; an increasing number of people are taking up crafts such as knitting and choose to make and create gifts for others, rather than buying them. When we make something for someone else we go on a journey, one within which we create a story and built a little of ourselves, our thoughts, emotions, experiences, and love into the finished piece. This series of work are all about the journey we go through when creating as well as being a tribute the places and people I most treasure in London. I hope the viewer will perhaps give thought to how precious each part of this process of creating is, and perhaps allow them to value the handmade even more.
