As part of this live event, we are excited to be hosting Sweeney’s first performative piece that will see the filmic invocation of her supernatural entities transcend into the gallery space.

About

HOXTON 253 invites you to join curator, writer and researcher Linda Rocco, co-curator of Witches, Scamps and Things, a solo presentation by artist Kelly Sweeney, as she shares insight, responds to questions and unpacks your experience of the artist’s phantasmagoric world. As part of this live event, we are excited to be hosting Sweeney’s first performative piece that will see the filmic invocation of her supernatural entities transcend into the gallery space. Seduced by all things transcendental, this is for Sweeney the realm of schizophrenic psychic harlequins, ethereal goddesses, orchid-clown hybrids and demonic balls.

Whilst Rocco will be present to expand upon your trip through this otherworldly landscape, Sweeney will be inhabiting the gallery space in an alternative form. With both live offerings operating on a rolling basis throughout the duration of the evening, you are welcome to attend at any time to experience all facets of the event.
