About

Little Light Nights will be lighting up the darker corners of east London this November with light installations, performances and music. You will encounter a beautiful night of adventure, fun and storytelling which has been designed to inspire and celebrate the unique places and communities. It is completely free and open to all so come along and join the fun!

The programme includes interactive moving-image, installation, choreography, drawing and puppetry work from Bradford and London artists including Chemaine Cooke, James Islip, Fabric Lenny and Output Arts. Refreshments and tunes are also being sourced locally and there will be additional artists joining the programme each night.

●      Saturday 21 November, 6-10pm, Bow Creek Ecology Park, London E16 9ST.

●      Saturday 28 November, 6-11pm, A13 underpass, Canning Town, London E16 1EQ.

The Brick Box is bringing Little Light Nights to east London as part of this two-month festival of light, which is part of the UNESCO International Year of Light. As well as creating a fantastic opportunity for people to
take part in a live art exhibition, the project is about providing a positive environment for people to dwell after dark. We aim to make better use of the city’s existing assets and encourage imaginative use of public realm space. You can literally put yourself in the picture and become part of an ever-changing co-created mural of light, shadows and colour.

Little Light Nights is brought to you by The Brick Box CIC, an arts organisation and social enterprise based in London and Bradford, working nationally and internationally.
We empower people to take part in arts and cultural activity in under used spaces. We believe in the power of creative expression to transform people's lives and environments. From shopping centre loading bays to motorway underpasses, goods lifts to double decker buses, underground tunnels to disused docks, we find inspiration in some very unlikely spots and thrive on filling in-between and often overlooked spaces with a large sprinkling of art, love and magic.
