About
The Lightlines Conference brings together a diverse range of artists working with installation and digital media practices whose works engage with ideas of place and subjectivity. The event is hosted by Abbey Walk Gallery and artist Gillian Hobson and supported by Arts Council England. The theme of this years conference is Sight/Site.
Participating artists: David Cotterrell, Professor of Fine Art at Sheffield Hallam University, Gillian Hobson, Installation Artist, Lou Hazelwood, Artist and Photographer, Jo Booth, Artist and Photographer. Together these artists will discuss their inspirations and motivations in working at the intersection of the material and the digital, exploring and examining the potentials for deeper understandings of the relation of person and place through artmaking.
