VINEspace is proud to present new video pieces by Sean Branagan. The title LIGHT FORMS is borrowed from the generic name given by the artist to the small video constructions that use the human face as their starting point. 'Light Form: you're the reason our kids are ugly' and others in the same series are a digital symbiosis of features and form. These silent moving heads are not representation, not interpretation; they are more like mutant actuality, and each is very different. LIGHT FORMS is also a useful term in sympathy with the 'materialisation' of light that is so indicative of the larger pieces in the exhibition, where light from the projector is a formal component that is squeezed and poured inside containing structures.
