'Life drawing is never meant to be art in itself. It is never a finished product, always something stopped at an arbitrary point, always a rehearsal.. A.A.Gill The exhibition illustrates a wide range of drawings and paintings produced by participants in the life drawing workshops which take place every Monday at Pyramid. For beginners to accomplished artists, the workshops provide an opportunity to learn or practise the essential skills of observation drawing. From 3 minute sketches, 20 minute drawings and longer studies, there is always something new to learn. The human figure offers every challenge - line, shape, tone, colour, perspective and composition. Life drawing has traditionally been the cornerstone of any art training. 'Our workshops on Monday afternoons, evenings & occasional Saturdays provide a relaxed informal atmosphere & a wonderful way to improve your drawing skills.'
