Re: Jacqueline Morreau Mythologies and the Marginalised
02 Sep 2017 – 21 Sep 2017
Bow Arts Trust
London, United Kingdom
Free
Andrea Morreau, the artist's daughter, will be running two life drawing workshops during Re: Jacqueline Morreau Mythologies and the Marginalised.
Jacqueline Morreau's work was primarily focussed with figurative art, such as drawing; that at the time was being rejected by both the art world and many feminists, as a rejection of direct figurative representation of women.
With the recent return to drawing and painting, it is a good opportunity to re-present Morreau's works in order to appreciate the drawn figure again.
With this in mind, Andrea Morreau, the artist's daughter, will be running two life drawing workshops at the space during the exhibition. Admission is free, and materials are provided.
We look forward to seeing you at an evening of life drawing, surrounded by the figurative works of Jacqueline Morreau.
