“Lick My Wounds” is Boehmer’s first solo show at SATELLITE LES. The exhibition features recent works on canvas and an installation artwork that explore themes of anxiety, fantasy, and nostalgia. Closing Reception: July 26th, 6-9 pm.
About
Brightly-colored faux fur and yarn are sewn by hand together with taxidermy to depict gory imagery with art historical references. The soft sculptures have a push/pull of attraction and repulsion with glittering textures and subversive narratives.
