Henrik Aa. Uldalen is back at JD Malat Gallery with a new solo exhibition: 'Lethe', breaking boundaries between past and present with works of astounding beauty.
‘Lethe’, the river of oblivion in Greek mythology, is also the latest solo exhibition by social media sensation Henrik Aa. Uldalen. Alarmed by how current politics alters everyday life, this exhibition aims to expose the human ability to forget the truths of the past, thus affecting current social and political patterns. By attempting to cope with this discomfort through a precise layering of paint, Uldalen masks his ethereal figures through a bold use of pink paint. For Uldalen, the pink paint becomes the imaginary veil people unconsciously place on their past recollections.
