Artist Leo Asemota retransmits his performance interpretation of Walter Benjamin’s landmark essay “The Work of Art in the Age of Mechanical Reproduction” (1936).
Artist Leo Asemota retransmits the first act of his performance interpretation of Walter Benjamin’s landmark essay “The Work of Art in the Age of Mechanical Reproduction” (1936), as a homage to Benjamin’s radio years in Germany between 1927 and 1933, and as an appraisal of his ongoing multipartite artwork “The Ens Project” (2005 – present).
The show also include a live conversation Asemota and guest Mark Miller, National Lead and Convenor, Young People's Programme, Tate Britain and Tate Modern.
