About

Have a go at manipulating, decorating and hand-stitching leather to create your own original accessories. A lightning introduction to leather-working techniques.

You will be able to try out a range of classic saddlery techniques including how to cut, stamp, plait and polish small leather goods such as cuffs, simple purses, key rings, working in traditional vegetable-tanned leather, as well as practising the art of twin needle saddle stitching in this hands-on, enjoyable session. Katherine Pogson has been teaching design and making techniques for leather since 2005, and is the author of ‘Complete Leatherwork’.

Katherine will be in residence in the Gallery, Friday 17 – Sat 18 June, 11am – 6pm. Drop by to watch her work, and ask any questions.
