Learn to Linocut the Rude Way

In this two hour workshop, you will learn the techniques behind the relief printing process, all whilst creating your own hand-printed designs.

Linocut printing can be used to create greetings cards, illustrations, wall prints and textile designs. This process is an ideal introduction to printmaking, and with Rude's expert design advice, this workshop is suitable for beginners and experienced artists alike.

During the course of the workshop you will create an A5 linocut printing block, which you will use to create multiple, single-colour prints. As with any workshop that involves printing inks, we recommend wearing clothes that you're happy to roll your sleeves up in (and don't mind getting a little bit messy!)

Founded in 1998 in East London, Rude has become known for their eye popping colourways, hand-drawn type and illustrative style. Their design folio ranges from screen prints to ad campaigns, animations and moving image, murals, product and exhibitions.
