A new series by Laura Pannack is showing in NAE's outdoor exhibition space as part of FORMAT, the UK's leading international contemporary festival of photography and related media.
About
Through 12 images, Pannack explores the angst and emotions experienced by couples who, as a result of Brexit, have been forced to contemplate separation. Brexit has long garnered column inches for its political implications, but what does it mean for love? Renowned for her portraiture and social documentary artwork, Pannack seeks to explore the complex relationship between subject and photographer.
The theme of FORMAT19 is FOREVER//NOW. FORMAT is organised by Derby QUAD and DMARC (Digital and Material Artistic Research Centre of University of Derby). The festival incorporates Derby's beautiful buildings and landmarks, and regional partners such as NAE extend the festival across cities.
