Curated by CG associate member Lucy Harvey, and selected from CG Associate members’ submissions by artist Hilary Jack and Castlefield Gallery’s programme manager Matthew Pendergast, Castlefield Gallery presents For Posterity, its next Launch Pad exhibition from 13 - 22 Feb. Giving Harvey her curatorial debut Launch Pad: For Posterity includes work by Rosanne Robertson, Richard Proffitt, Cherry Tenneson, Fliss Quick, Hannah Leighton-Boyce, Lucy Harvey. Drawn from Harvey’s own research into traditional crafts, For Posterity explores the transformative ways in which artists invent and reinterpret history, place and language, and considers the place of ‘making’ in contemporary visual art. The exhibition will feature sculpture, installation, film and performance - including a sound performance by Rosanne Robertson at the public preview on Thu 12 Feb (6-8pm), as well as throughout the exhibition opening times Harvey will periodically be in the gallery producing work.
