We are delighted to announce that West Sussex artist Jayne Sandys-Renton will be presenting her exhibition Last Light at the Valdoe Studio's in Goodwood.

The large and imposing canvases are inspired by the landscapes and forests around West Sussex. Jayne raises the questions ‘How do we, as individuals, perceive the land?’ 'Are we immersed in history as we wander along pathways or seeped in literature as we experience the elements?’

Angie Montagu from GalleryMuse in Petersfield says ‘In her search of traces of what’s gone before, from the people and elements that have shaped the terrain, she wanders the lay lines and old pathways in search of a sense of these spaces. At times ghostly figures emerge through her landscapes, the mysticism that is part of an accepted heritage of what it is to live and be part of the South Downs gentle undulation of hills’.
