Mastering Line, Tone & Colour with Pippa Pixley
This two-day workshop is both playful and purposeful as published author and artist, Pippa Pixley, reveals how to master line, tone and colour within the landscape, harnessing the power of natural materials to imitate and even expressively subvert. We start by understanding the fundamental principles of light and tone, experimenting with a range of mark-making materials, and learning how to translate and transcribe the landscape. On day two we introduce hue, mix beautiful natural pigments, develop palette themes, and see how to apply contrast, colour theory, and tonal values to your own practice. You will create stunning sets of samples and studies, culminating in producing a finished landscape artwork.
