About

Rod Barton Invites is proud to present its inaugural exhibition 'Lady Holic'; exhibiting five British London based artists working in multimedia platforms. These artists have been atheistically chosen for their colour, technique, ability to intrigue, question and fantasise in their work. Materials range from poured paint, tyco track, comic book pages, oil painting, colouring pens, dolls eyes, string and pencil.

Lady Holic, includes established artists Danny Rolph and Peter Lamb who both had recent solo exhibitions at Barbara Davis Gallery, Houston and CTRL Gallery, Houston, respectively. Rod Barton Invites will also be introducing recent graduates Jonathan Baldock, Daniel Pasteiner and Andy Jackson. Baldock has recently come back from an artist's residency at Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture in New York. Jackson, graduated from the Goldsmiths MA programme in 2006, he will be participating in a group show he co-curated at the Standpoint Gallery, London. Pasteiner being the most recent graduate (Royal College of Art) is currently showing two works in the Bloomberg's New Contemporises exhibition this year.

Rod Barton Invites set up in early 2007 for the purpose of showcasing British and international contemporary art, focusing primarily on abstract contemporary painting across the generations. Gallery programme will include regular solo, group exhibitions and off-site projects. For the last 3 years Roderick Barton (Gallery Director) has been independently curating contemporary art exhibitions in and around London.
