About
The Kunstwoche der Kommunalen Galerien Berlin (Berlin Municipal Galleries Art Week), an annual ten-day, city-wide festival, kicks off the autumn art season in Berlin for the eleventh time. Thirty-two galleries open their doors to the public with 36 exhibitions and a huge variety of events featuring over 400 local and international artists. Discursive, thematic exhibitions with artistic and socially relevant themes, and monographic solo shows characterise a broad program that brings the vitality and diversity of Berlin’s art scene to all city districts.
Kunstwoche once again extends an invitation to you to attend large-scale cooperative events. A concert series, Sounds, brings artist bands to the stage at Galerie Parterre in Prenzlauer Berg. Our workshop program, Young, tailored to kids and teens, takes the exhibitions as a starting point for independent artistic exploration. Later in the festival, Tours offer comprehensive and diverse insights into municipal gallery activities.
